GET UP SOUL

The soul and gospel choir GET UP was founded in January, 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden by singer Elin Svensson (EllyEve).

The choir’s vision is to perform songs about life, with a wide repertoire from traditional and contemporary gospel music ’til today’s soul- och pop music.

Throughout the choir's singers, they freelance actively and have participated in many different live performances. Both by backing up well-known artists, but also as strong solo artists. Making music and singing together is as great a joy for them as for their audience.

In the time of the Swedish election in the fall of 2018, GET UP released a video on Facebook together with the artist Will Oaks where they performed his song "We Share the Same Sun". It became a viral hit with now over 130,000 views and 900 shares.

In December 2018 GET UP arranged their own (sold out) christmas concert where parts of the income was donated to the charity organization Stockholms Stadsmission. With them on stage were the guest artists Janice, Will Oaks and Christoffer Hiding.

  • SVT Memorial Concert Kungsträdgården, april 2018
